Prop-forward Philip Leuluai and coach Shaun McRae of the Salford City Reds, Salford MP Hazel Blears and world record-breaking marathon runner Ron Hill were among the first celebrities to put their very different sized feet in moulds which will be displayed in the new University facilities for years to come.
But it's not just the stars who are putting their best feet forward.
The brand new hi-tech facilities are also helping Salford's podiatry students to strengthen their career prospects.
Our students gain invaluable experience dealing with real patients under the supervision of staff internationally renowned for their clinical expertise. They also benefit from a wide range of exciting placements within NHS clinics and links with other future employers. Our students go on to find employment in hospitals, GP clinics and out in the community. Some even set up in private practice.
The clinic, based in the School of Health Care Professions, also serves as a valuable service to the community. It is already frequently visited by celebrities and sports personalities and has links with Manchester City Football Club and Lancashire County Cricket Club.
