KIT-Out the Park is primarily a vehicle to transfer a variety of technologies developed within GCU to small and medium sized businesses operating in the tourism and tourism related sectors. The key objective of the project is to help these companies improve their business performance, develop new products and services and increase their competitive edge, through the adoption and integration of the latest technologies into their businesses. From a GCU perspective, it will provide scientists and researchers with easy access to companies with project ideas or with an identified technology need.
Derek Gallaher, the recently appointed Project Manager said, “The launch of the new website will greatly help our promotional activity for the project and enable us to reach a wider range of companies with potential projects which could benefit from working with GCU scientists and researchers. Companies can now register their interest on-line which means my team can respond quickly to such enquiries. We have also been asking GCU scientists and researchers what technologies they want to promote and hopefully we will be able to show these on the website in a searchable format as the site develops”
KIT-OUT the Park will also be running a Technology Showcase in Cameron House on Friday 26th October 2007, at which there will be opportunities for GCU’s scientists and researchers to demonstrate technologies to delegates at the event.
