The aim of the conference was to promote the importance of working relationships in the research process. Key speakers identified and showcased case studies that showed how collaboration is a fundamental part of generating new ideas and making relevant links surrounding health and social care issues. The conference was attended by nearly 90 guests, including LSBU staff and representatives from various NHS trusts and Primary Care Trusts. The one day event consisted of a mixture of workshops and presentations which covered areas such as child focussed research and innovations in practice. The Keynote speaker at the event was Professor Christine Beasley, Chief Nursing Officer for England who gave a 30 minute presentation on the challenges and opportunities of Policy Partnerships.
