Awhile ago, I got an email from one of the "gurus" I follow and it shocked me. The gist of it was this person wanted to trade services for a household item.To say it floored me would be an understatement. What was worse was a few days later t Automation technologies represent a fundamental aspect of any modern industry. The major types of industrial automation solutions, such as DCS, PLC, SCADA, and MES, are used on a large-scale in process and discrete industries.DCS technologie
One of the biggest mistakes that webmarketers make online today is in coming up with a product/servicefirst and then trying to find a marketto promote it to. The other day I was out for a walk, enjoying a nice warm spring evening.I came across a local Dairy Queen andwas astounded at the lineup stretchingright out the door. Business wasbooming. Why? Because they were selling something people wanted atthat particular time! This made me realize that you must takethe time to find out what people wantright now or in the future, and *then*develop something to market to them. What they wanted in the past is irrelevant. Targeted timing is everything. Trying to coast on anold idea is like trying to sell ice cream in the middle of winter. Don't try to squeeze a segment of the Internet population into a conceptto which you are emotionally attached.Business has no feelings. It runspurely on logic. If something isn'tworking, scrap it and try something else. Those who have been successful onlineso far have learned how to adapt andchange their thinking on a moment'snotice if need be. The challenge is in finding something that is or will be in great demand. This is where the work lies. Thosewho don't want to do the work will end up becoming the clients and consumers of those who do. It's yourchoice. You can be the ice creamvendor or one of the people standing in line. And if your ice cream is good enough, word will get around. "Relationship advertising" is the best and mosteconomical. People can't help buttalk about how professional you are,how good your prices are, how goodthe ice cream tastes, etc. And theywill come back for more, giving youback-end sales. The research that successful Internetmarketers performed in order to findtheir product/service was obviously worth the time and effort. Yet most people look at where these gurusare today and label them "lucky". I would like to suggest that they areno more lucky than anyone else, justsmart, persistent and tenacious. Theystuck to their guns until they developed ice cream that outperformedeveryone's expectations. It is too easy to look at a web store-front and forget that it all started as an idea in somebody's mind. It is even easier to forget that not longago it didn't even exist until somebodycreated it. And since we are overlookingeverything anyway, we might as wellignore the blood, sweat and tears theyinvested into building the darn thing. Personally I want to place myself ina position to greet all the new andexisting people on the Web wanting icecream. The Internet is the hot sunnyday and your website is your shop. What are you going to market, cold refreshing ice cream or warm gruel? Open multiple locations offering a top-notch product that is in demandand promote like crazy. Automatewherever possible and continue toadd new exciting products. This is like adding different flavors of icecream, peanuts, banana splits, chocolatedip, etc. Notice how vendors up-sellpeople. Since you're buying anyway, why not add a little something extra for a nominal charge... Keep track of your visitors. Some vendorshave a club card that they stamp for eachvisit. Online this is getting their email address and then consistently following up. Don't harassthem but give them valuable tidbits ofinformation to gain their loyalty. It all starts with a dream and a never-give-updesire to build. Change your mindset toone of success. Focus on the reasons whyyou can and rid yourself of the reasons why you can't. Constantly think of waysto expand and improve your empire everyday. And always remember: it is the thirstypeople on a hot sunny day that you wantto put your ice cream in front of.
