Larry,Greenberg,Excavation, the entertainment Larry Greenberg: Excavation of the Internal at Agora Gallery
Know your event objective. If the aim of the event is to educate people then the entertainment is not the key element of the event. You would do better to use some light form of entertainment during the break to help attendees unwind and rel Music is a vast sea and there are lots of singers in the world who earn so much fame because of their singing, voice and style and Rob Thomas is one of them. He is one of the best singers whose songs become very popular and he has great fan
Tackling the dark recesses of horror and perception, Larry Greenberg's evocative paintings present a moody, yet cathartic, look into humanity. While taking cues from the emotive figures of Picasso's Blue Period, Greenberg turns his work towards more surrealistic environs, playing with anatomy to illustrate moments of tension and drama. In the same vein, his figures retain an hint of understated theatricality. This aspect of the painter's work is emphasized in his characteristic erasure of his figures, leaving only shells or skins of figures. For paintings that speak toward humanity's internal demons and emotional intensity, there is an impressive sense of delicacy in Greenberg's work. From the use of muted colors, to the washed out textures, to the lines and brushwork, a softness contrasts his weighty thematic images. This uniformity isn't always a comfort, but rather lends itself to the ethereal quality in his works. The subjects in these paintings are always at risk of disappearing into the background, an effect that emphasizes the struggle against disappearing beneath internal turmoil.Exhibition Dates: March 8, 2016 – March 29, 2016Reception: Thursday March 10, 2016, 6:00pm – 8:00pmGallery Hours: Tues-Sat 11:00am – 6:00pmGallery Location: 530 West 25th St, Chelsea, New YorkEvent URL: http://www.agora-gallery.com/artistpage/Larry_Greenberg.aspxFeatured Artists:Lars Aukrust | Marianne Bech | Gerd Dagne | Gregg Emery | Annita Faitaki | Cesar Garcia | Stephanie E. Buzzing in energy, color, form, and texture, the works on display hint at real worlds while obscuring just enough to direct the viewer’s experience and effectively control the conversation. Abstractions flourish across canvas, while figures bend and transform before the viewers’ eyes. Varying on the scale of fiction and reality, the artworks featured tell a unique story of humanity, nature, and society in inventive ways. Most of all, however, they tell a story of movement and change: making this an exhibition that truly takes you from one state of mind to somewhere completely new and exciting.
