Anglia Ruskin University is offering a series of workshops for the region's SMEs to find out how growth and innovation can be achieved in today's increasingly competitive global economy.The Centre for International Business (CIB), a part of the Ashcroft International Business School, is running a series of regional events so that representatives from SMEs across the East of England can learn more about the support on offer to help them achieve their business growth aspirations.
The workshops will focus on the CIB's 'SME Growth Programme' and 'SME Skills Workshops', both of which are open for ambitious SMEs to sharpen their skills. There will also be an introduction to the government-subsidised Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), which provide access for companies to the resources and expertise of the business school. This allows for the placement of high-qualified, part-subsidised graduate to carry out a 6-24 month strategic project.
Running on 14, 15 and 27 November at Brentwood, Peterborough and Newmarket respectively the free afternoon/evening sessions start at 15.30. Ben Gibbs, Business Development Manager, at Anglia Ruskin University is confident that these events will add value to any business and explains:
"The Centre for International Business provides a range of highly-focused solutions to help SMEs grow and improve their performance. Events like these are aimed at getting as many businesses as possible onto the fast-track for growth.
"Anglia Ruskin University is just one of the universities throughout the UK that has been given the challenge of helping SMEs to improve with funding, provided by the government. If businesses do not come forward to find out more they will be missing out on low-cost, high value support.
"These workshops will help to kick start projects which will create growth. Everyone knows that it is not enough for a business to stand still, it must seek ways of growing and improving in order to maintain competitiveness."
