The Princess Royal, Chancellor of the University of London, visited The Careers Group whilst on tour of the University’s newly refurbished Stewart House in Russell Square.
Anne-Marie Martin, Director of the University’s Careers Group, said The Princess Royal was keen to learn about their plans for the annual Postgraduate Study and Training Fair, being held at the Business Design Centre in London on Wednesday 25 January.
“The Princess Royal was impressed to hear that the event attracts more than two thousand people every year and that it continues to be geared towards helping prospective students discover how they can choose the best course to study, how to fund it or indeed the most appropriate training programme for their personal career development,” explained Anne-Marie Martin.
She added: “Our approach is very straightforward and effective – all visitors are given the opportunity to discuss their needs with representatives from the UK’s top institutions in addition to being encouraged to attend the seminars we have organised for them on funding and selecting the right course.”
This, the fourteenth Postgraduate Study and Training Fair, will feature at least 77 international exhibitors ranging from Universities across the country to specific training companies from both the UK and abroad. These include the Australian Trade Commission and the State University of New York.
The fair is sponsored by The Independent newspaper. Entry is free.
