As long as you didn’t own government’s money such as council tax, parking fees etc then that will be fine as if you own government’s money it will lead you to criminal(刑事) and you will go to jail if you got nothing to pay back to the government!
Credit card, loan, mobile phone etc… this is not criminal! These are civil matters not criminal.
When you fill the application form for applying or extending a visa, one of the section will ask you if you got any county court judgement(CCJ)/civil judgement . If you are not sure, check your credit file with the credit reference agencies such as Equaifax or Experian. Just go to their website and you will be asked some personal questions such as your first and last name, current and previous addresses, how many credit card do you have, do you apply any credit card within 6 months etc as they want to make sure you are the person then you can see your own credit report and you also will know if you got country court judgement or your name appear on the public record as well. You might have to pay no more than £20 or free to view your credit report for the first time.
You need to be aware one thing is when you come back to UK you might experience difficulty to apply a bank account with any bank in the UK as you have a default or more than one default? (example own credit card company money and mobile bill etc) on you credit file.
What you need to do now is check your credit file with the credit reference agencies see if you got any CCJ/civil judgement as if you do have any CCJ/civil judgement appear on your credit report it will appear on the UKBA’s computer system as well.
CCJ = country court judgement. County court deals with civil matters.
Good luck.
