Our offer over asking price was accepted in Feb., house was taken off market. as we’re at the bottom of the chain, the down queue. we have been waiting the chain to be formed. Then we were pressurized to do survey, before survey, agent put house back on the market !! but promised that they can stop viewing and take ad. off the market if we do survey, so WE did it, but once we did it, she refused to take it off, instead asked us to confirm that we pay the price.
Even I can agree on the price, I feel being manipulated. But this is not the issue.
What I am not sure is whether I should stay on this unclear chain. this agent has lied to us all the way through.
We were told that vendor found a Victoria house on the first time, that’s why they are selling, after we made offer, we were surprised to hear that she can go to rented without a problem. then we started to hear that she can’t rent, she’ll buy a house, finally she made offer on the house, However, 4 months passed, we still have no idea about the exact number of people on this chain, what is the real situation of the top one on the chain? the agent lied on this information again and again.
More I stay on this chain, more I lose trust on their words, We found that we’ve been put in a very disadvantage position, we aren’t happy with the quality of information we got.
But I know this is seller’s market, Is this norm for ALL estate agents ? if so, I don’t have options. Do any other buyers have similar experience? What would you do? I like the house, and haven’t got other better option yet, Could you please offer me your suggestions?

I think the seller does not sure what she is going to do. The agent wants to keep you so he has to make up some stories.

看你多喜爱这个房子了。 房子有chain的确烦人。 不外当初没chain的房子愈来愈少了。
中介不靠谱就给原本就不不乱的chain减少了变数。
我没看见房子，假如我遇到相似状况我确定撤了。 此外，LZ有无间接去和vendor谈谈？ 看看他们的实在设法。

当初的确是卖方市场，然而天底下也不是只要这一个房子啊，何苦非在这一棵树上吊死。假如是我的话，我会跟中介说，哥不陪你们玩了，剩下的就是chain上的其余人好受了，哈哈。

I feel that some estate agents are worst than others. Have you already got the mortgage offer and started the searches? If so, the sunk cost is already incurred…so why don’t you stick to this one but at the same time keep an eye out in case anything else come up? Just to hedge your risk that the chain breaks for whatever reason. Also if I were you, I would ask the estate agent to explain what is happening and what the time frame is.

我以前看的房子的中介就是不愿撤广告，我让我共事三天中间打电话问，能不克不及看这个房子啊？由于我当初买的房子就是房东起初找别的中介同时卖，不撤广告，还能够看。你也找人打电话骚然中介吧。不外我感觉当初这么不明晰，仍是保持算了。
