Land Registry figurs showing that London as a whole continued to see the highest price rises in the country.
In March they rose on average by 11.3% to over 462k, compared with a 5.3% increase for England and Wales.
The Ealing Central and Acton MP said the 535k average property price in her constituency is 17 times the area’s average annual salary. From which we can imply that average earining in that area is 31.5k.
Only 50 percent of London’s households are owner-occupied compared to a national aveagea of 64%. The average age of a first time buyer unaided in London is now 37.
