Halifax的贷款。有效期6个月。现在我是mortgage agreed in principle.但房子是on chain的。可能六个月交易不了。这样是否还要重新花钱在做mortgage application 和house valuation ?

mortgage agreed in principle等于nothing，你适当的时候做正式的mortgage application就行了。

mortgage in principle means nothing, it is just like a draft guidance for you to know how much you possibly can borrow from the lender, that’s why it is called “principle”, but it does not guarantee anything at the end of the day. The underwriter determines if they will accept your application and approve the mortgage, it has happened before that people has mortgage in principle, but was refused to be given a mortgage when submitted their application.

有效期過了, 自然就是無效啦. 要重新有效, 自然要重新申請.

重新申请吧，我家也是有mortgage in principle，现在情况有变又要重新申请了{:5_134:}赶快约mortgage advisor吧，我家这边的halifax最快也要两周以后

你这个只是初步评估。真正开始交易时银行会对你的收支以及信用记录查的更细，银行拒绝贷款，卖家变卦，银行评估低于你的开价等各种情况都可能导致交易不成。

求教各位大牛，所以有六个月有效期的只是agreement in principle? 别人告诉我说如果我买off plan应该complete前六个月就应该申请mortgage，那指的是这个吗？还是正式的mortgage offer本身也有六个月的有效期？
