The electronic cigarette is not new. People who buy electronic cigarette knows that this product has been in the market for years now. Despite some sectors apparently trying to shoot the product down from the shelves, the popularity of elect Active shredder safety technology for the small office. Shreds 15sheets per pass into 5/32" x 1-1/2" cross-cut particles (Security Level3). Patented SafeSense® Technology stops shredding when hands touch thepaper opening. Designated shredde
3D printing is a pretty interesting form of manufacturingtechnology in my opinion and it has led to the growth of new industries andadvancements. What are some of these advancements? What is 3D printing? Whatdoes it matter to you? Let me jump right in to the topics I just mentioned! First off, 3d printing is the layer by layer creation ofalmost anything you want from a 3D printer. This form of manufacturing has thetechnical capabilities to create incredibly intricate models that other stylesof manufacturing cannot. The basics of this technology revolves around thebasic statement Im about to mention. Essentially, here are the steps for thisprocedure. First, a 3D modeler, artist, engineer, architect, character modeler,or whatever youd like to call it will create a 3D design. This design willserve as the basis for this model. This 3D image is going to be the blueprintfor the 3D printing procedure. After this computer generated model has beencreated, it will then be sent to the manufacturing facility, or if its alreadywithin the manufacturing facility, it will then be transported to a 3D printingoperator. This operator will take the 3D image, and he or she will plug it intothe computer of the 3D printer. Since 3D printing works with a CAM system, or acomputer aided manufacturing system, the printer will essentially do all thework necessary with the materials it has, and the 3D model provided whichserves a blueprint. Once the printer has taken the 3D model into account, theoperator will essentially click go and the printer will start. Layers ofmaterial will be laid down on top of each other until the final product iscomplete. Sometimes, the model will need after touching to make it ready. Thiswill also be done by the operator. Some of these processes include dusting offpowder, infiltrating the model with certain liquids, and removing supportmaterial. In a nut shell, that is how 3D printing works. Since the late 1970s, there have been a tons ofadvancements with this technology. There are quite a few styles of 3D printingin existence today. One form known as fused deposition modeling, or FDM,involves laying down melted material in accordance to a design. Another forminvolves a bin of liquid curable resin. A 3D printer will then shoot beams ofultraviolet light onto the resin, and the resin will cure into solid prints.Another form of this technology is DMLS, or direct metal laser sintering. Thisprocess involves a laser melting layers of metal powder together in accordanceto the design. The melted powders are then often infused with various othermetals to, and heated to over 500 degrees until the materials form together. There are a few other forms of this 3D printing technology, but I hope this gives you a fair idea as to how it all works. Im sure therewill be a few more styles of 3D printing emerging within our lifetime, andthere already have been so far. You may want to keep an eye on this technology,it is already starting to change the world!
