People who buy electronic cigarette knows that this product has been in the market for years now. Despite some sectors apparently trying to shoot the product down from the shelves, the popularity of elect
Dry cell batteries have much more use than people give them credit for. These cells allow a person to power any device at any time. Portable electrical energy has allowed man to power devices like mobile phones and laptops. Apart from these heavy devices, one simple tool known as LED flashlight is also powered by dry cell batteries. The idea of having a portable light has many applications to it, though people involved in office work might not get it. However, when it comes to outdoor activities, one must carry an LED flashlight with them. The need of flashlights was much direr in the older days, since the light sources were not as efficient as today. The problem in the old days was that the dry cell batteries were not invented yet. This meant that there was not a suitable power source to keep the light going. Attempts were made with the introduction of this idea, however, they all resulted as failures as the batteries would leak or spill. The bulbs in the old days required quite an amount of power to light. All of these issues simply indicated that the technology was not present for the manufacturing of portable light. The production of flashlights started once a successful dry cell battery was made. In the early 1920s many things changed with regards to a flashlight, for instance the filament and the battery technology however LED flashlight was nowhere near. The reason why portable light is called flashlight is that, the first portable light produced needed to be turned off after a period of usage. The light needed rest which produced a flash, hence the name flashlight. An LED flashlight does not need to rest however, the name did not change. In 1990s LED lights were introduced. These lights were efficient as very little heat energy was produced by these lights. Developments are being made in an LED flashlight, but for the moment this is the hype of technology when it comes to flashlights. The quality of light is brighter than the older filaments and it is much more power efficient than any of those bulbs. The semiconductor is wrapped in a solid resin which is colorless. This allows light to be produced and protects the LED from shocks, hence increasing its durability as well. There are some flashlights which are powered by kinetic energy, as well.
