It may come as little surprise that corporate umbrellas are a very popular promotional gift in the UK. On average it rains every other day! So umbrellas are not only handy but they are a very good way to promote your company or charity.  Before you dive into the world of printed umbrellas, there are a few things you should know. When these popular brollies are printed on the pages of a business gift catalogue or featured on the internet, they all look the same. Although some of the pictures show beautifully designed printed panels, it is often difficult to see why one starts at £3.50 and another very similar umbrella starts at £30.00.  The reason is down to quality. Millions of umbrellas are imported every year from China. Although the quality of such umbrellas is improving, they are not always made to last. These mass-produced umbrellas are brought in by the container and cost a fraction of the better quality British made umbrellas.  These budget umbrellas are perfect for companies and charities on a limited budget. They do not hold up very well in strong winds and they are limited to simple logos. However, they do look good when printed and presented to a group of people at a rainy event.  Recently, British manufacturers have felt the need to complete with these cheap Chinese imports. It almost seems as if they have decided that if you cannot beat them, you might as well join them. Not wishing to lose the fantastic print quality that they have always been so proud of offering their customers, they have begun to employ Chinese factories to manufacture the frames for them. This has brought the cost of their British printed umbrellas down by half. The frames are strong and are made to survive strong storms but they are still not as good as the original British made frame.  The most expensive and for that matter best quality umbrellas are still those manufactured 100% by British companies. The attention to details is second to none. The frames feature comfort handles. The handles, nibs and poles can be colour coordinated to match a company's corporate look. The print is as good as it gets. These umbrellas can cost you up to £30.00 each but if your budget permits, they are well worth the  It may come as little surprise that corporate umbrellas are a very popular promotional gift in the UK.
