ResponsibilitiesProvide technical assistance on equipment selection & processes.Take new products from the concept stage to the production stage.Lead and coordinate project teams which include other engineers, technologists, clients and contractors when designing, developing and building products.Ensure all program elements are tracked, budgets and timing commitments are maintained and changes in program statuses are effectively communicated to all stakeholders.Work with shop floor employees in regards to current processes and propose/make the necessary changes as requiredReview and revise process flow and layouts as requiredProvide technical expertise to set-up technicians for root cause analysis and problem-solvingLead APQP and team activitiesCreate realistic & reasonable timeline for project implementation using Gannt charts and APQP trackerWork with existing inspection methods, gauges & process capabilities to continually reduce operator inspection frequency while maintaining qualityWork closely with Quality Engineering on control plans & process flow FMEADetermine process capability and create process instructionsProvide continuous improvement on existing jobsComplete cell or work area set-ups with correct flowTake initiative to continually develop & improve internal standards/methods for inspection, testing & evaluation to assess conformance to standardsLead technical component specification, sourcing, and supplier development.Specify special tools and fixtures where required.Preparation of quotations.Ensure that the process is capable of producing parts to specifications.Additional ResponsibilitiesProvide list for tooling requirements on new work and prototypesMaintain ongoing process control through quality troubleshooting and process improvement investigation.Work with suppliers to improve tool life on new and existing toolingProvide strong & consistent leadership to increase motivation, skill and knowledge of all employeesDegree or Diploma in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Experience with MS Project, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office4-5+ years of Process Engineering experience in a automotive manufacturing environment must .Knowledge/work experience in machine processes, cutting tools, fixtures, CNC and Special purpose machines.Working knowledge of ISO-TS16949 and ISO 14001, and with mechanical blueprint interpretation including GD and T.Good computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.Experience with the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining (i.e. AutoCAD, CAD/CAM and SolidWorks).Experience in APQP, FMEA & PPAP development and execution in accordance with AIAG standardsAbility to read & interpret customer drawings for dimensions & GD&T calloutsMachining knowledge including lathes, mills, spline rolling, hob splining, grinding etc.CNC machine programming knowledge is desirableExcellent organizational & communication skills and the ability to effectively work with various departmentsWorking knowledge of APQP documentationAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionResourceful with excellent time management skillsJob Type:Full-timeExperience:Tier 1/Tier 2 Automotive Manufacturing: 4 years (Required)Lathe, Mill Machining: 3 years (Required)
