I shared the above when I wasinteracting with a few people from different corporate. Theyall had one question in common. The questionwas why some people with least educational qualification, because of they werewith the corporate for several years, earning more salary whereas such fatoffers were not given even to a highly qualified persons who joins theorganization recently. Ifthe educational qualification were to be associated with ones knowledge,capability and understanding, they were right that the qualified people shouldbe offered high salary. If the experienceonly matters, why the corporate then looking for highly qualified people? Whyare they hiring them? Thepeople should understand that in biology and in nature, such disparity anddiscrimination exist. Like how the firstjoined person in a corporate enjoys fat salary, the chick from the first laidegg of some birds enjoy extra privileges than the chicks that hatch out fromlast laid eggs in the same brood. Suchphenomena are called hatching asynchrony and egg mass variation. Mostof the birds lay more than one egg during every breeding season. The eggs are laid at different dayintervals. It has been noticed that theeggs that were laid on the day one were bigger in size with high egg content thanthe eggs that were laid on the last day. When the eggs were laid in different days, naturally the first chickwill be from the first egg. Thisdifferences in the hatching time of different eggs is called hatchingasynchrony. Thefirst chick will have the greater care and attention of the parent and growrelatively bigger than the later hatched chicks. When the parent come to feed the nestling,the first born chick, because of its size and strength grab the food faster andgrow fatter than others. This has beenscientifically studied and well proven. Maybe first come best served is the law these birds follow. If we ask, do the parent birds discriminate betweenthe first born chicks and the later born chicks? Such possibility is remote. But still such discrimination happens. Is the first born chick wants to suppress itslater born siblings? Duringnesting stage, such disparity exists, at least in the life of many passerinebirds of altrecious chicks. Thelarger question is will the first born chicks outperform its later bornsiblings in real nature? No studiessuggest such possibility. Myanswer to the question was that some may be a just graduate but earns fatsalary whereas a MBA graduate from a premier business school or a Ph.Dscientist may earn less salary. Remember that the graduate may be working with the same organization fordonkey years. They are like first bornchicks. But you are all later bornchicks. Respect the hatchingasynchrony was my answer. Suchcorporate defects are inevitable evil. Accept, and then search for better vista, you will be successful.
