But itis true, not only in the corporate world but also in the animal kingdom, be ita predator or prey. Thosewho regularly watch the behaviour of the prey and predator in the deep junglewould understand how true the above statement is. When a pride of lions attempt to hunt abuffalo or its calf, the heard would move together to drive away thelions. Lionswill be extremely careful when they strategize to hut buffalo. They take such risks because a single buffalowould provide adequate meat to the entire pride. The payoff justifies the pay. Althoughbeing in the heard may offer protection to every individual buffalo, but when abuffalo is caught by lions, generally other buffaloes in the heard would slowlymove away. They pay least attention tothe victim, may be due to the acceptance of the faith or because of thefear. Imagine, if they fight together,no predatory animal would ever get any food to eat. Evenif the victim were the calf, the mother animal would fight for sometime andthen accepting the fate, moves away. Thestory is true even for all predators. Theanimals when are in a heard or pack or pride, fight collectively in thebeginning, but later leave the victim either to concede, endure or escape. Incorporate, the phenomena of be in the team, but live for you first is moreevolved. When an employee faces someproblem at the hands of their bosses, the people around him or her, mostly the peergroup, would seek to know the details of the problem, its cause etc. They do shower their sympathy, tears andprayers initially. When the problemgrows further, all those people who were so sympathetic in the beginning, movesaway from the victim and behave like the victim is excommunicated. Spontaneously they declare anathema towardsthe victim. Thisbehaviour of people in corporate should not be seen as strange or bizarre. Theemployees in the corporate primarily live for themselves. They are in the team only for the abovepurpose and not to protect and safeguard others. Manyemployees do stupidly believe that their teammates or fellow colleagues willtake care of them when there is crisis. People in the corporate must realize the fact that their existence inthe team is not for the existence of the team but for own existence.
