Strengths: Fora shredder that is designed to be used by one person intermittentlythroughout the day, the 30104 has a pretty nice capacity. This smallshredder can handle up to 12 sheets at a time, and operates at a speedof 15 feet per minute. This is not bad for such a small machine.The30104 is well designed, and for such a small machine, we were reallyimpressed with the 8 gallon bin size. That means that you will have toempty it less often, and that is a major plus. The 30104features an electronic sensor that turns the machine on when youposition the paper at the feed opening, and then off again when the jobis done. We thought that was a nice feature in a shredder that is meantto be placed conveniently at arm's length. This machine also featuresBag Full Auto Off function that turns the shredding mechanism ofautomatically when the shred bag is full and needs to be emptied.Thecutting blades of the 30104 are made of solid steel, and allow thusmachine to easily handle paper clips, staples, and even credit cardswith ease, and the blades carry with them a lifetime warranty.Thedimensions of the 30104 are such that it will not take up much room inyour office, and you could probably even place it under your desk ifyou wish. This is also a very nice looking machine, featuring roundedlines and "euro" styling. It is not very often that you can say that anoffice machine is attractive, but this one is. This means that it may notbe the best fit for you if the documents that you will be need todestroy are of a highly confidential nature. The 30104does feature thermal protection, but all that means is that theshredder will turn itself off when it gets too hot. If this happens, you will need to wait for the machine to cool down before you can useit again. Article Tags: Dahle 30104, Personal Shredder
