Hot summer day in Cologne where else to be?This morning started little different than others.I was out late last night here in Cologne. It was a feast with fire works. It started 11, 30 pm and finished at midnight. It was spectacular to see. Lots of colours, big bangs like from canons. It gathers around 1 million people. They are coming from all over the world. People were really longing for a party.The show was accompanied by an orchestra playing well known classic music. I could hear Marseilles the French national hymn, the British one etc. It so funny to watch different people as well. There were clowns and artists in groups. Have you seen those ones that are body painted and dressed up in gold or silver? They stand still in the same pose for a whole day. Unless somebody gives them money they move and thank them for the gift. I saw painters that painted huge pictures on the path ways too. Fascinating arts.Late at the nights I ended up at an Ice bar here. We were trying different nice drinks. Like Margaritas, Zombie and Mojitos. Tasty but strong. It is fun to meet new people. It is a great opportunity to find new co workers. Let them start to talk about them selves then they automatically ask you what you do for living. Hand out your business cards with your home page on. Ask them to have a look and that you can be back to talk more business. Now it is time to get to know that person. What triggers him in life? What dreams do they have?If they have forgotten about it ask what they were dreaming off when they were kids. This is the fun part with the business to catch up with new associates. So back to were I was in the morning. The morning of today.I m not used to try drinks with alcohol in it.I prefer to drink a glass of wine instead. Tired and felt little dizzy. I walked down to the restaurant in the hotel and had breakfast. I talked to my room mate and we decided to go back to bed for an hour or so. We did that and woke up much fresher, took a shower and walked down the city. What a change of the city! The sun was up and it was really hot. People strolling down the streets and were did the 1 million people go? Obviously they did not live here.We walked down to a nice place an outdoor restaurant. We had mineral water and ordered salmon with potatoes and leek in it. Wow that was really good. Just what the doctor ordered.After that we walked over the bridge to the other side of the river. We were lying down in the grass and read a book each one of us. After a while we took a power nap. I woke up under the big beautiful tree and looked at it. I am so happy to be here. I am so lucky to be who I am. How can this planet be so gorgeous and I sometimes miss to see it.Thats why it is important to make a stop in the everyday life duties. Take the time to enjoy life. Sometimes you have to feel little dizzy and not 100 % to appreciate what the Earth is providing us with. Life is a blessing!
