We spend so much time trying to get the business up and running that we may end up becoming burned out and lose our motivation. There is so much to learn and
You might think that a Home Based Business is best run on your own. This is only partially true. Of course you yourself are completely responsible for your work and its results. There is nobody else to blame! But it is always worth considering to join forces with other people in the same working situation. Why is it a good idea to build up a team? Well one good reason is to combine the talents! People have different skills, interests and networks. When you combine the skills, interests and networks of several people you can create a team where the different members really complement each other. Together the team can attract more attention from the market and achieve better results than the sum of the individual team members! What people should join your team? It is important to find team members that you trust and respect. People who are generous givers, they want to contribute to the common good rather than look for individual benefits for themselves. People without prestige. People who know that if the team succeeds everyone succeeds. Together Everyone Achieves More!Another important issue is team communication. It is of vital importance that you communicate openly and honestly within the team. We do not want team member that are yes-sayers. Yes-sayers rarely contribute to the growth (physically as well as spiritually) of an organization. Every team member of your team must be able to give feedback to his or her fellow team members, and also accept feedback from them. Every team member shall know that honest feedback to a team member is a good way to share knowledge and help each other become even better, in fact it is a great service to a colleague to offer your heart felt feedback to him or her!Working in a close team means that you share your colleagues joys and pains. Whenever one team member has a success of some sort the whole team will participate in the celebration thereof! This encourages other team members to work a little harder to achieve the same amount of success. This creates MOMENTUM within the team; enthusiasm is contageous! And just imagine those halleluja moments when the whole team share the sweet joy of some big achievement of a team member. There is also a possibility to have team brain-storming sessions to solve problems or come-up with e.g. new marketing ideas.Yet another reason for working in teams is to help each other with self-discipline! Working in a team opens up a good opportunity to keep each other responsible for plans and goals etc. It may be quite easy to give yourself an excuse not to fulfill your plan for this week. But it is much harder to explain to your buddy why you did not meet your own goal.Team work need not be very formal. The better the team members know each other the fewer rules are needed. It is a general good idea to have regular team meetings to keep the team together and to spread knowledge within the team. And last but not least, it is much more FUN working in a team than working alone! Life is short so you better not waste it having a boring time. And fun work gives MUCH BETTER RESULTS than boring work! To conclude, team work is usually beneficial for everyone. Shared joy is double joy, shared trouble is half trouble!Good Luck with your teams.
