We spend so much time trying to get the business up and running that we may end up becoming burned out and lose our motivation. There is so much to learn and
You probably know by now that the Get Rich Quick Programs are a dime a dozen! ( At least I hope you do!) At the same time,,you're probably alsohearing that if you are going to make something of this internet business, it's going to take some work. ( At least I hope you are!)There are always two sides to every story, and this one is no different! You have to decide for yourself which side to believe!I tend to lean toward the second option. But when you hear about this"work", does anyone ever explain in detail what that "work" is exactly?I can only tell you what I have discovered that it is for me. If you're interested, then please read on! If not, then you can go back to checkingout your Get Rich Schemes!!!1. BUILD YOUR SITEFirst of all, I will not tell you that it is ABSOLUTELY necessary,( but it is not far from it) that you have your own website. Whatever product or serviceyou are offering, whether it is your own, or you are a rep for someone else, it is always going to be to your advantage to get up your own website. This is the beginning of work!A website that is productive takes almost daily care. Of course, you first needto create it. And there are many avenues for that. (see below) But whether you create it yourself, or have someone else to do it for you, any website takes maintenance. Your site must live and grow and change, or your visitors will not come back. You must keep it updated with the latest information, new products, freebies, etc. to meet your visitors' needs. This means spending time searching, and researching. A websiteis NEVER finished!!!If you're a beginner, there are some excellent sites that offer site-buildingutilities for free. These are a great way to get started. They are NOT a great placeto stay, though! Get your feet wet and learn. Then move on to a REAL site. I know that for most of us we need the "free" stuff to get started. But keep in mind that you really will want to get your owndomain name, and get away from free hosting as soon as you can. I know from experience:The free hosting will work against you in the long run. ( If you want to know more details, you are welcome to contact me at the address below!)Here are some free site building and hosting resources:http://www.homestead.comhttp://www.terrashare.com/join/momworks/RK8875545468http://www.bizland.com/newsite/webhosting/hostin_signup.htm?AffID=1627598&LinkName=newsletter 2. PROMOTE YOUR SITE Now, you're talking WORK! This is where you will spend most of your time, in one way or another. a. Submit your site to as many search engines as possible. Do this once a monthb. Write a classified ad about your site, submit it to as many classified ad sites as you can. Some will need to be submitted daily. Others weekly, monthly, etc.c. Create a newsletter that accompanies your site. Publish AT LEAST weekly, if not more often. Submit it to as many ezine directories as you can find. Write a classified ad and submit it along with your site ad! Keep the content fresh, useful and informative. ( Here comes the searching and researching again!)d. Find other sites and/or newsletters that will trade links or ads with you .( More searching and researching!) 3. MISCELLANEOUS WORK a. Go get subscribers for your newsletter! Once you reach 1000, you can start pursuing selling ads. The two best resources I've found for increasing subscribers, are: http://www.topezineads.com/cgi-bin/affiliate/b.cgi/862 This one has an ENORMOUS database of ezines. You can search them for what they offer: free ads, ad swaps, accept articles, etc. Submit your ezine and offer a free classified ad to new subscribers. http://hop.clickbank.net/hop.cgi?webworks/paaads Sign your ezine up here to receive classified ads from people who have agreed to subscribe to your ezine.b. Advertise your affiliate programs. Until you have YOUR OWN product to sell, you can be an "affiliate" of other folks' products and earn commissions on sales. This means putting a lot of work into promotion. Run lots of classified ads. There are lots of both free and paid classifieds available. I finally purchased a program that submits 15 ads at a time to 1000's of classified sites. PLUS, I advertise DAILY at Yahoo. At Yahoo, you are allowed 10 ads per account. And ads a t Yahoo last for 30 days. BUT most will only be seen for 24 hours, since other ads coming in push them down the list so far that they are not read. SO - I have 4 Yahoo accounts. 10 ads per account. I submit 2 accounts a day, on alternating days, so I always have 20 ads current. It's called: WORK!. http://www.yahoo.com http://www.becanada.com/$/[email protected] (Classified Submitter) Of course, this is not an exhaustive account of all the work you will run into. But, have you heard enough? Does this sound like a business you want to dive into? No, it's not for everyone. But it is something that anyone can do, if they are willing to apply themselves. It is not a quick-cash deal. But with a no-quit attitude, it WILL start happening. You will grow in your knowledge and skills. Your reputation will grow, the hits to your site will grow, and you WILL seeresults! For me, it's the perfect opportunity to stay at home and be available to my kids, yet to continue to grow and learn - AND EARN! And you can, also! But you'll have to decide right away which side of the story you're going to believe! And when you do finally realize that the "Get Rich Quick Gurus" are probably all talk, then there's really only one decision that you need to make ----to put your head down and WORK - until you see results!!! Believe me, the reward is more than financial!!!!!
