路税还剩半年，MOT也刚做，但是要离开一段时间，保险想回来以后再renew, 期间把车就放在家门口的路边，这样会不会有问题？？？请教一下大家，谢谢:cn08:

You must have motor insurance for your vehicle if you use it on roads and in public places.
You do not need to insure your vehicle if it is kept off the road and declared as off the road (SORN). This rule is called ‘continuous insurance enforcement’.
If not, you could:
get a fixed penalty of £100
have your vehicle wheel-clamped, impounded or destroyed
face a court prosecution, with a possible maximum fine of £1,000

直接把路税cancel掉，Make a SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) ，回来全部重续，最保险。

我是觉得这车就挺路边2个月，不太安全吧，虽然在自己家旁边

警察不查你就没事儿,要查你你没报SORN一样被罚，不就那几个月时间么，楼主还是花钱省的找麻烦啦

我这边有个私人的大院带锁的，可以随便挺，一般的家用轿车都可以长期停放，在东伦敦。e16,如果有需要私我。

不可以停马路边，你得停私人的drive way或车库里面。
如有认识的人能让你停他们家，你申请SORN，马车停过去半年，回来后全部重新申请。
只能停路边的话，乖乖申请保险吧!
