ROGER
What'd you forget?
(MIMI enters, holding a candle and looking for a match; her electricity is
down, too.)

ROGER

(He lights her candle. MIMI starts to leave, but stumbles.)

At least the room stopped spinning.

(ROGER lights the candle. They linger, awkwardly.)

《房租》是 Jonathan Larson 改编普契尼 (Pucini) 的歌剧《波西米亚人》(La Boheme) ，共花了七年时间才诞生的精彩作品。与原来的《波西米亚人》相比，《房租》的人物身份与时空背景都转化称为现代社会的，从十九世纪初期的巴黎，改成了现代的纽约东区。
《房租》讲的是一群在纽约苏活区和东区生活的贫穷艺术家的故事，马克是一位穷困的艺术家，他的室友罗杰是摇滚乐作家，而女主角之一的咪咪是一位患有爱滋病的舞蹈家，整个故事就围绕着这群出门在外，租赁房子的人们发展。它的情节充满了毒品与异常性取向，剧中人多数都是爱滋病的带原者。1996 年 4 月，《房租》在百老汇尼德蓝德剧院首演，立刻造成了轰动，不仅夺得了该年度的普立兹戏剧奖和“最佳音乐剧”、“最佳音乐剧原创音乐”和“最佳音乐剧改编剧本”等四座托尼奖，其他所有跟音乐剧有关的知名大奖也一一受到擒来，直到现在仍有极佳的票房。

Light My Candle 歌曲的背景~~
圣诞夜，罗杰婉决定独自留在他的家–旧楼房顶层的简陋公寓。服用过AZT之后，他开始做起梦来。此时他们楼下的邻居咪咪来敲门，她长的很漂亮，是个舞者，她是来跟罗杰借用火柴的。这两个头一次见面的年轻人，立刻感受到彼此之间互相的吸引，但咪咪是个有毒瘾的人，也是个艾滋病的带原者，两人在一起，显然注定了会产生更多的问题。
记得两年前在伦敦看了的音乐剧，看得超级感动里面的歌曲也很好听。前些日子看见了Light My Candle的伴奏，就邀瓶子一起开唱了。伴奏和原唱的节奏不一样，瓶子调了很久终于调的和原唱一样了！（好厉害诶~）多亏了他的耐心，才能让这首歌顺利的进行
