To turn off from youreveryday life and truly enjoy. But it also becomes a time when we slack off on our health.Getting some physical activity in can also help relieve stress and make you happier. So, stayingactive on a vacation is really a win win for your body and mind.Sharing a few simple tips on how to stay active while travelling, which are both doable and,quite frankly, fun.1. Chasing the sunGo outside in the morning and breathe in some fresh air. It could be a run, walk, or soaking inthe sun. Nothing like a run around a lake or walk in the garden. Starting your morning active willkeep you refreshed and energised throughout the day.2. Local Active AdventureDo a local active adventure. This could range from hiking, trekking, cycling or swimming. Don’tforget to follow it up with a good stretch sess. Highly recommend doing bed stretches beforeyou sleep to relax the muscles. So this happened in Bhutan. We made it to the tiger’s nest andback. Had the best time.We’ve made a promise to ourselves to try at least one active adventurous thing wherever wetravel. It’s a fun way to stay fit and make memories that will last a lifetime. Trust us, you won’tregret this one.3. Yoga in the wildOutdoor yoga anyone? If you haven’t tried this, you definitely should. And we’re not talkingabout an intense yoga session. Just grab your mat, get out of your room and out on the gardenand do some basic stretches.The stillness, birds chirping, maybe spotting a butterfly or two, serene environment, just you,your mat and the beauty around. We’re really trying to sell this, can you tell?4. Exploring!Now something we all do on vacations – EXPLORE! Make it a point to walk as much as you canto nearby locations. Walk to a tourist spot you want to check out.Walk to a restaurant you want to try. None of this sounds motivating enough? Walk to a localstreet for shopping (Wester Wear) can truly be a great cardio workout. Nokidding!This does not mean we won’t indulge in the local food and take some time to slow down andtruly enjoy the place. Just small activities here and there like walking more often, doing somebed stretches before sleeping, cycling around, and snacking in between meals so we don’tmake reckless food choices.
