Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chiles national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w
Lloret de Mar is a haven for beach lovers, but with so much choice of sunny, sandy seaside spots, which is the best one for you? Here we introduce four different beaches in the area.Santa Cristina Hermitage & BeachThis is the perfect place to visit after you have been to the Santa Clotilde Gardens. In the car park at the top of the cliff there is an attractive 14th century hermitage, and from here it is only a short shady walk down to the beautiful sheltered beach, which, because of the calm waters, is ideal for snorkeling. This spot is made for lovers of seclusion. It is small and a million miles away from the rows of towels that you see on Lloret de Mar Main Beach. Because of its exclusivity, facilities are limited, but the nearby Hotel Santa Maria does offer value for money, has a pool, beach bar, restaurant and spa.Lloret de Mar Main BeachThe complete opposite to Santa Cristina Beach, this is one that gets very busy during the day. If you want to see it at its most tranquil though, head down early in the morning, before the crowds. Otherwise, it is buzzing with activity. Restaurants, cafes, and fast food stalls line the beach, and if you are in the mood for some water sports, this is the place to be. Toilets, showers, and sun lounger and umbrella hire are all available at this beach.Fenals BeachA nice compromise, this beach is the second-largest in Lloret de Mar, but because of its location, is much less crowded than the main beach and isn’t overlooked by as many apartment buildings. Sheltered by a hill and set apart from the town centre, the beach generally feels more laid back. There are options for water sports and boat trips, and plenty of restaurants to choose from, too. We love this beach because it has excellent facilities including beach boxes where you can leave your valuables.Cala BoadellaA delightful little cove, this spot is perfect for the discerning beach goer, who craves peace and tranquillity as well as crystal-clear water and soft sand. It is wise to be aware that one end of the 250m beach is frequented by naturists while the other is more family-orientated, so you can take your pick. A charming little restaurant serves good value meals, but otherwise, this beach is all yours. How to Get to Barcelona AirportLet us take the stress out of getting back from Lloret de Mar to Barcelona Airport.
