Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chiles national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes
The South Rim is the region of the Grand Canyon that most people recognize. That's where most of the best photos are shot, and that's where Grand Canyon National Park is located. It's almost impossible to see all the Park's highlights from the ground. At best it would be time-consuming and difficult. And that's exactly why Grand Canyon tours by South Rim helicopters are incredibly popular. You should definitely think about taking one of these tours. They are a lot of fun and give you a unique perspective on the immensity of the canyon. The Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and you can experience it fully from the air. Being that it's located in northern Arizona, most of the South Rim's visitors come from Phoenix, Flagstaff, Sedona, Scottsdale and other Arizona cities. Vacationers in Vegas can visit the South Rim too, but they have to take a 45 minute flight to get there or a 5- hour bus ride. It isn't hard to guess which method is the preferred one. Quick and convenient wins most of the time. Several terrific Grand Canyon tours on South Rim helicopters are offered. There is a 30 minute tour and a longer one that lasts 50 minutes. If you go on the shorter tour you fly to the North Rim and back and pass over the Dragoon Corridor, which is the widest part of the Grand Canyon. You see the same sights on the longer tour but also fly over the highest point called Imperial Point, the Desert Watchtower, the Painted Desert, Zuni Corridor, and the Colorado Confluence. Go on the longer tour if you can. The National Park encompasses a wilderness area that is over 1 million acres and you may not get to come back. Don't miss out on seeing as much of the Park as you can unless you simply do not have time for the longer flight. South Rim helicopters fly out of Grand Canyon National Airport, just outside the Park's main gates. You can take one of these tours every day, including holidays. It is a good idea to book your seats at least a week ahead of time. When you book early, you get the best choice of times and dates, plus you save money too. If you wait until the last minute to get your tickets then you might have to separate your group, you will have to pay more for your seats, you might miss getting a morning flight, and you might not get a seat on one of the state of the art EcoStar 130 sightseeing choppers. Let me explain why I think the EcoStar 130 is the best of all the South Rim helicopter models. These aircraft are highly sophisticated and offer much larger cabins than other choppers. With stadium style seats and panoramic windows, you will have a fantastic view of the amazing scenery below. Their body design allows for a smooth and quiet flight and the cabin has the ultimate in climate control. You can choose a landing tour at the South Rim too. One tour option is to take the rim to rim aerial tour and then hop on a Jeep for a ride to the canyon's edge to view a spectacular sunset. You can also opt for a Harley ride through the canyon instead of riding in a Jeep. These landing tours are fantastic fun and worth every penny, although seats are very limited for these. If you want to save money on your tour, then book your seat on the tour operator's website. The tour companies always have the best deals, and I've been able to book several terrific Grand Canyon tours at 1/3 off their retail price just by booking direct on the company's site. You should be able to do this, but don't forget to complete your entire transaction online so you can get the special Internet-only discount!
