Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chiles national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes
One of the most notable American landmarks is the Grand Canyon, which is located in the northern part of Arizona. It is difficult to imagine its size as it covers over one million beautiful, rugged acres of wilderness. The main destinations at the park are the canyon's South Rim and West Rim, and bus rides from Las Vegas can take you to either one in luxurious comfort. The price of a Grand Canyon coach tour will depend on how many people are in your traveling group, but you're sure to find one to suit your budget. You can choose to ride in a mini-van or a luxurious motor coach. The buses are fully equipped with creature comforts such as individual climate controls, comfortable lounge seats, window shades, DVD players, and clean restrooms. Each bus trip includes a friendly and informative tour guide. Many of the coach trips also offer free pickup and drop-off at your hotel on the Vegas Strip. The traffic in Vegas can be brutal, especially if you don't know your way around, so shuttle service is particularly appealing. Letting the tour company pick you up at your hotel will eliminate a lot of stress that comes from trying to arrange transportation in Vegas on your own. Both rims of the canyon offer amazing sights and fun activities. The fabulous Grand Canyon Skywalk (also called the Glass Bridge) is at the West Rim, and it lets you walk 70 feet out over the edge of the canyon. Eagle Point and Guano Point are spectacular West Rim lookouts. Another reason to visit Grand Canyon West is because it's the only place you can take a helicopter ride straight down to the canyon floor. The South Rim is ideal for nature lovers. If you've seen photos of the National Park, they were probably taken at the South Rim. Some attractions to see there include lookouts at Yavapai Point, Yaki Point, and Mather Point, and Grand Canyon Village. Bright Angel Trail and the Rim Trail are two of the trails you might want to consider taking. It is almost impossible to work in a mule ride when you are on one of the Grand Canyon coach trips because they have to be booked well in advance.Climate is a factor on these bus rides. The weather along the West Rim is often hotter than it is in Las Vegas. It is not uncommon for it to get over 100 degrees in the summer. You will need to have plenty of water and wear a sun hat, sunglasses, and sunblock. A lightweight shirt with long sleeves can also be worn as protection from the sun. In the wintertime, the temperatures drop and the winds are strong and cold. The South Rim's altitude is 6,000 feet, so summers are comfortable and winters are cold and crisp. So in order to be prepared for the weather at the South Rim, pack the same items for the summer, but if you visit during the winter, be prepared to deal with snow and ice. The conditions and temperatures in the summer are nearly ideal since they usually range in the mid-80s. It takes 5 hours to get to the South Rim and 2 hours to get to the West Rim by bus, but the beautiful scenery makes it worthwhile. No matter which rim you are going to, the buses take the same route. So in either case you won't miss Hoover Dam or Lake Mead. West Rim visitors leave the main highway at Dolan Springs and go through an amazing Joshua tree forest. Buses going to the South Rim stay on the highway and go through the Kaibab Plateau on the way to the National Park A Grand Canyon bus excursion is something you will always remember, it offers spectacular vistas like no other place on earth. The Grand Canyon is one of the top natural wonders of the world and is definitely worth the time and money it takes to go see it in person. Article Tags: Grand Canyon, National Park
