Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chile’s national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes

You have chosen to book your HOLIDAY RENTALS IN SPAIN as it will allow you to better understand the Spanish tradition of the siesta. This Spanish tradition is known throughout the world and in fact has been adopted by a number of places. This tradition is celebrated from 2 to 5 pm in the afternoon when a lot of businesses and shops close. Most people choose not to go home during this period due to transportation but spend it in cafes, bars and restaurants. With these types of businesses open during siesta time they tend to close at 5 pm and reopen sometime from 7 to 9 pm at night. This all started to give the field worker in rural Spain some relief from the hot summer sun. The objective was to have a meal, sleep for a few hours then return to work in the cooler part of the day. This siesta which was once the domain of the labourer has spread to the office workers who do not have to worry about the heat as they work in air-conditioned offices. The reason behind them using this Spanish tradition is the long filling lunch. Lunch in Spain has always been a family affair lasting for at least a couple of hours. It is hard to work having just had a rather large meal along with a few glasses of wine, local of course. The only thing to do is have a long relaxing nap then return to work ready to face the world: well, almost. When the Spanish venture out in the evening its usually late around 10 pm or as late as midnight which results in socializing until the sun comes up. This is when the siesta really comes to the rescue allowing you to catch up on lost sleep. As Spain moves into more modern times the siesta was lost somewhere along the way even though there are avid proponents of this tradition. In places like Madrid and Barcelona tend to stay open all day long. Elsewhere in Spain places like supermarkets and large stores stay open all day and some into the evening hours so no siesta there. The Spanish still party late into the night, resulting the Spanish getting one hour less sleep each day than the rest of Europe. After arriving at your HOLIDAY RENTALS IN SPAIN to check out the siesta you might find that in fact they do not actually sleep during this time period but opt for a long lunch and the time to digest it. This is also a good time to socialize outside the office. If you would like to adopt this custom all well and good but on your return home this tradition may be frowned on.
