Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chiles national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w
Your family is so busy with work and school, so when the holiday breaks are here its time for a weekend getaway. You can always do the big and expensive amusement parks but sometimes it means more to just do something simple. Here is what I consider to be the best three weekend breaks to spend some quality time with your family.Enjoy Nature with CampingAn affordable and great way to spend the weekend with the family is camping. Campsites are everywhere, so it will be easy to find one that suites your needs. You can camp near the coast, in the mountains or just in the woods. Some campgrounds are in state parks with historical forts to tour. Some have lakes to go fishing or take the kids for a paddle boat ride. You can camp in a tent or rent a cabin and either choice is so much more affordable than a costly hotel. Set up camp, build a campfire with the kids, tell scary stories (maybe not too scary) and make smores. Sometimes getting back to nature, is just what the family needs to recharge for the week ahead. Visit a City and All It OffersA fun thing to do with the family on one of your weekend breaks is to just spend time in a city. Often times, you will overlook all that a nearby city has to offer because you are thinking of places farther away. With the gas prices of today, it is a perfect time to spend your weekend break close to home. Do your research, plan your trip and set out for fun. Visit the local museum and take a historical tour. Spend the day shopping at the mall and visiting the little tourist shops and boutiques. Take a trip to the zoo or visit a haunted bread- and- breakfast. No matter what city you visit, you can almost always find a movie theater or a bowling alley. See what the nearby cities have to offer, gather up the family and have fun. Favorite Beach BreakThe most popular weekend trip cannot be overlooked. If you live somewhere near the coast, head out to the beach for one of your weekend breaks. There is nothing better than some fun in the sun to relief the stresses of life. The kids love splashing in the waves and playing by the pool. Help the kids build a sand castle or watch them frolic on the beach. There is usually a putt-putt golf nearby for a family outing everyone can love. Enjoy an evening meal of a local seafood restaurant or pizzeria. Make those memories to take back home to the busy week ahead.
