But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w
On any given day in the UK, thousands of people fly in and out of the greater United Kingdom. A large portion of regular fliers are those that fly because business. For your average business flying passenger, waiting for all sorts of reasons has become a normal and routine job hazard. There are flight delays to contend with, lost luggage, inclement weather to consider, and reams of other factors that get in the way of getting from point A to point B. Getting frustrated at these circumstances, sadly, does nothing to change them. Nevertheless, one is sure to find, on any random day at any one of the busier airports in the UK, business fliers that stare disconcertingly at their watches every few minutes whilst pacing in nervous circles, inwardly or outwardly cursing the airport or the airline for holding them up and sabotaging their very busy and important business schedules. There will always be this contingency, this faction of people, at the airport, but you dont have to be one of them. Instead of getting caught in the quicksand aggravations of stress, frustration, and worry, why dont you consider your options and see if there are constructive ways to plan your trips more effectively, time-wise and otherwise, and avoid being angry and stressed when, indeed, it is avoidable? There are many different ways to save time and be mindful when it comes to your regular business trips. Rather than getting mired in the morass of the Heathrow airport every trip, you can research flying out of other airports to save time. Last year, I opted to fly out of another airport to save time, and while I disembarked from the East Midlands airport hotel parking lot, I bumped into one of my colleagues who swore by flying out of smaller airports because it was always less stressful, there seem to be less delays, and it can often be cheaper as well. My colleague, who I met in the Manchester airport hotel parking area was right; now I fly from smaller airports when I can and Ive saved lots of time over the course of the last year. Dont get overwrought, try to stay positive, be mindful, and flying can be more stress-free than you might have imagined.
