Built in 1965, Anzère resort is a contemporary ski vacation hot spot situated in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, which is near to Sion and Crans Montana. Its ski slopes features 40 kilometres of downhill runs with 8 T-bars, 2 chair lifts, and 1 cable car to usher people uphill. The lifts can transfer up to 9,500 people per hour. The resort is geared mainly for intermediate skiers and has less areas for neophyte and professional skiers. The longest run is Les Rousses which is more than 5 kilometres long. It also offers a moderate to good cross-country and off-piste trails for skiers. For snowboarders, the resort provides a half pipe and a terrain park. Heli-skiing is also ready at the Wildhorn Glacier which has an imposing 3,247-metre altitude. The only direct way en route Anzère is through by road.
