After a long, darkwinter everything springs to life. Days get longer, flowers bloom and activityin the parks brings life back to the country.Another option that the weather provides is visitingany one of the number of theme parks in England. Despite it's relatively small size, England is blessed with some of the best theme parks in the world that are home to the best, and most frightening rides you'll find anywhere. Two that I keep on hearing about are Alton Towers and Chessington World of Adventures. With the weather improving daily it's really getting to theme park season so I hope this brief review inspires you to take a trip to a theme park near you. Get out there and enjoy yourself! So first up, Alton Towers. Alton Towers, according to what I've read online, isthe UK's most popular theme park. It contains many "white knuckle"rides but two that keep coming up are the Nemesis and Oblivion. There are acouple more family-friendly rides that younger ones will enjoy but if, like me,you LOVE rollercoasters than Oblivion is definitely for you. One thing I willsay though, it's quite a trip from London and you will probably want to go forthe weekend to really enjoy yourself.Thorpe Park next. There are a few water rides at Thorpe Park so you willdefinitely want to wait for the weather to get nice before you visit. Thatsaid, there are also a ton of rollercoaster rides that will leave your stomachwondering which way is up. There's one ride that goesfrom 0-80mph in under three seconds. That is literally break neck speed! It'salso home of the rollercoaster with the fourth steepest drop in the world! Finally, Chessington World of Adventures. Over 90% of the rides here aresuitable for children under 12 so if that sounds like your family then this isthe theme park for you. They do have a couple "white knuckle" ridesbut for the most part this is a family orientated park that will be a bit moregentle on your internal organs. It's also based a lot closer to London thanAlton Towers so for those with little kids to worry about this is one of thosefun kids days out that will have you home by supper!
