A little away from the cities in Kashmir is Gulmarg, a land that can truly be compared to heaven, or rather a journey to heaven. As the name suggests, the entire way to the place is panoramic. A picturesque mountain resort, Gulmarg is one of the finest golf courses in the country too. A particular point in Gulmarg, called the View Point is one spot here that gives absolutely enchanting views of the snow clad hill tops that are present all around the place. Sonamarg, its counterpart is another place one shouldnt miss. It is a haven for all sports enthusiasts. The Sindh River that flows through this land is the best game grounds for trout and mahaseer catching. All sightseeing and sporting activities should always be topped by some shopping in Kashmir.
