Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chiles national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes
Siam Water Park brings a taste of Thailand to TenerifeThe islands two biggest water parks Aqualand and Siam Park are located in the south of the island and are easily accessible both due to the size of island (just 90km north to south), excellent road infrastructure and the fact that there are free shuttle buses from all the major southern coastal resort areas. Aqualand a well-known brand across Europe has a park at the popular South Tenerife resort of Costa Adeje. The park bills itself as being home to the best dolphin show in the world and has ties with Sea World in the USA. For the daring, the super fast water slides and rapids at Aqualand include bottle-testing rides such as the Tornado, Twister, Kamikaze, and the parks current poll-topper the Boomerang. More gentle options include Congo River a 500-metre relaxing inflatable tire cruise and the childrens Mini Park that features a shallow lagoon, pirate galleon and castle. Another watery option in South Tenerife is Siam Park, which, having opened its doors to the public in September 2008, offers the very latest in water-ride technology and wizardry. This Thai-themed park is set in a tropical oasis with such aptly named rides as the Dragon, Mekong Rapids, and Jungle Snakes. The park also features a white sandy beach for relaxation and beach sports. Theres a surf school on site with lessons in the giant wave pool. Younger children are catered for at The Lost City, which has been designed with safety in mind and features water guns, fountains, waterfalls, bridges, nets and mini slides, as well as various toddlers pools. As with all the parks, free shuttle buses run to nearby resorts; Los Cristianos, Las Americas, San Eugenio, Torviscas and Adeje are all on the free bus route to both Siam Park and Aqualand. Tickets for most parks can be bought in advance online with many bundles or packages available offering reduced entry fees and multiple park entry. Be aware that height restrictions do apply to some of the water park rides. For more of an educational input try some of the islands theme parks; In the south of the island youll find Las Águilas Jungle Park often included in a convenient ticket package with Aqualand. This zoological park featuring monkeys, big cats and birds of prey bills itself as more than a leisure park, as, in addition to lots of activities and fun, theres also a team of educators on hand to inspire children conservation issues. Loro Park in the islands north, near Puerto de la Cruz is also rated as one of the Canary Islands top attractions due to its sheer scale and size. It features world-class marine displays, including breathtaking acrobatics from dolphins and orca whales and an ultra modern walk-under-the-ocean style aquarium. We certainly recommend booking a villa in Tenerife, for your holiday as nothing quite beats returning to your own private space to enjoy a cool beer or cocktail around the pool.
