Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chiles national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w
I was impatiently looking forward to my great trip to Milan. I havenot been in Italy before, but I have heard a lot about the Italiantowns, the pizza and pasta, the ice-cream and a lot more. We arrived atthe airport in Bergamo and from where we traveled about an hour by busto Milan. We settled down in our apartment in Milanand started our discovery of the beautiful streets. We saw the MilanCathedral - Duomo, already lit, shining. As every misguided tourists wedo not miss drinking coca cola for 11 euros and a cafe opposite thecathedral. None of us realized that we were on Merkanti Street, inrestaurant Merkanti. Despite that the spaghetti was delicious, a bitraw, but apparently they prepare them like that. On the nextmorning (Saturday) we ate in a neighborhood fastfood deliciouscroissants. Then we decided to have a walk around the city - our firststop was Sempione Park (Parco Sempione) - a wonderful place forrelaxation, especially when the temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. There was a pond with ducks, people sleeping on the benches and peoplewho were on the beach. Tired from the walk, we decided to have asnack in a typical Italian restaurant - pizza and pasta. This time wereviewed the menu in detail - the drinks were with normal prices and wegot inside, where the air conditioning was our award after severalhours on foot. In the afternoon we decided that it was time forshopping and we departed to Buenos Aires Avenue. You need at least 4-5hours to see all the shops only on one of the sides of the avenue. Wereached the middle, our bags were full and we were tired, so we gave upfrom the tempting discounts that were expecting us on eachintersection. It is definitely a great deal to visit this avenue whenthere is sale, because you get very good quality clothes and shoes on areasonable price. On Sunday at the end of the weekend and the beginning of our trip to Verona. We left out holiday apartment in Milanand went towards the railway station. Unfortunately, we found out thatthere was no working place where you can eat a croissant. Finally, wefound a neighborhood restaurant and after long waiting and trying tounderstand the Italian, we understood that one of the employees isBulgarian. Suddenly the communication became easier and our order wasserved. The next stop was the railway station. After a long battle withthe ticket machine we succeeded getting a ticket to Verona withreserved seats. In fact, the truth is that it is much faster and easierto buy tickets from these machines, because on the counters you canhardly find anyone who knows a little bit of other language besidesItalian, and these smart machines work in English, French and German. Afteralmost two hours we arrived in Verona - a wonderful town, I'm in lovewith it, it has an incredible atmosphere - narrow streets, flowerbalconies, a crystal river and old-fashioned bridges, I felt like I amin a fairytale. I did not miss trying the ice-cream, it did not stepback to the one in Milan - the Italians make delicious ice-cream withpieces of fresh fruits. And so our adventure ends. The next day we departed for the airport and came back at home.
