Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chiles national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes
After a few days in Hanoi, we decided to take a break from the hustleand bustle and took a trip to Ha long bay. The bay is basically made upof about 3000 (didnt have time to count them all) limestone islands, all dotted around the place. We decided to do a two day one night trip, which basically involved going out on a boat into the bay, to a few ofthe islands and then anchoring for the night, before returning back thefollowing day. There was quite a lot of sea mist around, which reducedvisibility quite a bit, but it was still a good trip. Therewere not many people on our boat, which was a bit unfortunate, as thismade the evenings entertainment somewhat none existent. Still a few ofus had a few drinks up on the stop of the boat and were relaxing nicelyuntil someone come up top and announced that they had just seen acockroach running around down stairs. Did not think much of it, untilsomeone else came back and said they had just seen it run into mycabin. I went down to find it, and he took a bit of tracking down. Thenall I had to do was catch the thing and kill it .I never knew theycould run so fast. Anyway, eventually I managed to kill the thing andgive it a proper sea burial and tossed it over the side. On my way backup top, I passed and killed one or two more, but when I got up top Iwas greeted with the girls and Jeff, stood on chairs on the topdeck there were a few little baby roaches running around. It was decided to go to the cabins and block every little crack andcranny to stop the roaches from returning. So after about half an hour,we had the cabins secure and myself and Jeff decided to go on operationroach hunt. There by this point were a fair few roaches running around, which we duly trod on (the big ones make a really good crunching soundwhen you stand on them). I then happened to shine a torch through thekitchen window and lets just say I didnt eat breakfast the followingmorning, apart from fired eggs, which I hope they could not crawl allover! The next day we made it back to dry land without any further problemsand all in all the trip was great fun and well worth doing the viewsare scenery are incredible.
