The dolphins caught my bleary eyes as we walked into the lobby. After an early flight to Cozumel, which meant a sleepless night, my fellow writer, Lena, and I were looking forward to finding a bed for a few hours. But just past the dolphins teased a glimpse of glorious blue. Bed, I think wistfully, can wait. Checking us in was an efficient and very pleasant lady named Jazmin. Our room was ready and the bellboy was standing by to take us there. After, that is, he finished laughing at the mountain of luggage we carried. Writers, after all, never know when they might go from skydiving to scuba diving, beaches to ballrooms, and horses to helicopters, or catch a flight from Cozumel to Canada, and we were prepared for every contingency!
