Just when you think that Nokia has dealt their best cards to the smartphone race, then think twice! Enter the Nokia 808 PureView, this is the latest ace of Nokia that boasts a whopping (if not crazy) 41MP camera. Whoa that's right! You read it right "a whopping 41MP shutter". This handset is the successor of the Nokia N8 which has a good 12MP camera. It also makes the Nokia N series proud of this new camera phone on the block. Truly, this is a great treat for those who want extra more in a gadget. It has a multi-touch AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels and a screen display measuring 4 inches. This is a good screen size for viewing full HD videos and movies. The phone measures a height of 123.9mm, width of 60.2mm, and thickness of 13.9mm. The phone's weight is a good 169g only.If you look at the back of the phone, you will notice that it has a bit of a bump, and that bump happens to be the main weapon of the 808 PureView. It comes with a high resolution 41 megapixel camera sensor that features the following: 1/1.2 sensor size; Neutral Density filter; and up to 3x lossless digital zoom. This makes the Nokia 808 PureView stand out and shine from the rest of its competitions. This is coupled with the renowned Carl Zeiss optics lens, Xenon flash, and Nokia's PureView imaging technology. You can bet that even the high-end digital cameras at present will turn green with envy. When recording video this handset features lossless digital zoom, 1080p at 30 frames per second, and 4x video zoom. At low light, you can use its LED flash to compensate for poor lighting condition. It has the latest 1.3GHz ARM 11 CPU utilizing Nokia Belle (formerly Symbian Belle) for its OS. The phone's internal memory is 16 GB, which is a lot on my book. For those who think that this is not enough, then the phone's microSD card slot is expandable up to 48 GB worth of memory. The handset supports IM services (i.e. Nokia Chat, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google talk, MySpace and AIM). The phone's battery life is up to 540 hours when in standby mode or 3G mode. Talk time can last up to 6 hours and 50 minutes on 3G.We still have to wait a little more as the expected release date for Nokia 808 PureView is on May 2012. So keep your eyes peeled for this one!
