We recently took a look at the Intimus 0077SX High Security Shredder.Overall the machine is quite nice but I'll let you be the judge afteryou see the pros and cons below. Always remember that the stated specsof a machine do not always translate precisely to a real-worldenvironment.SecurityNSA Approved, this shredder sports level 6 security which shredsyour paper into sand-like particles. You only need this level ofsecurity if you are working in or with the government. The downside tolevel 6 machines is that you can generally only do a few sheets perpass and the cutting heads are more prone to damage from staples orpaper clips so you should always remove them to prolong the life ofyour machine. If you don't need this level of security we recommend youjusm to a level 3 or 4.Shredable MaterialThe Intimus 0077SX High Security Shreddercan shred Paper, Staples. If you need to be able to shred somethingelse then we recommend that you look at a larger machine and/or lookfor something with a little bit lower security (the higher the securitythe less likelihood that the machine shreds something other than paper).Continuous MotorThis shredder is not rated for continuous use. That simply meansthat you will have to shut the machine down after a certain period oftime to let it cool off. Now don't let this scare you away because mostpeople will never reach that point unless they just sit down and startshredding and shredding and shredding. If you plan on doing all yourshredding at one sitting then it is highly recommended that you get amachine with a continuous duty motor, otherwise you're just fine.Bin SizeThe Intimus 0077SX High Security Shredder sports a hefty 31.8 gallonbin.
