The Apollo 3002 overhead projector hasprecise, high-quality overhead projectors, from feature-packed,all-purpose units to high-lumen models, specifically intended for densecolor, inkjet-printed transparencies. Each model is designed with theprojection demands of todays new color printers and copiers in mind.Transmissive - The most commonly used overhead projector format withthe light source positioned in the base under the projection stage. Thelight is projected upward through the transparency and reflected by thehead toward the screen. (Apollo 3000, 3002, 3400, 16000, 16002).Reflective - Excellent for transparency-only presentations, reflectiveoverheads are very lightweight and portable. The light source ispositioned in the projection head and projects down toward the stage, which reflects the transparency image back to the head and toward thescreen. (Apollo 4000). Head Type - Open, duckbill-type head, recommended for most applications, delivers a slightly brighter lightthan the closed-head type. Closed-head type provides lens protectionfrom fingerprints and dust and is perfect for school use or forindustrial environments. Lumens - A measurement of light intensitytaken at the source of the light. 2,000-4,000 lumens recommended formost transparencies; 4,000+ lumens for detailed, dense-colortransparencies, large rooms and uncontrollable environmental lightingareas. Stage - The clear glass platform from which transparencies areprojected. Larger stages accommodate full transparency sheets inhorizontal or vertical orientation. Lamp Changer - Allows the user toinstantly change lamps by simply flipping a switch, in the event of alamp blowout. Prevents embarrassing delays in the middle ofpresentations. (Apollo 3000, 3002, 3400, 4000, 16002). Lens Element -The number of individual elements that make up a projection lens. Thegreater number of elements, the better the quality of the projectedimage. High/Low Switch - Light output control switch that allows theuser to use lower lumen output for simple transparency presentationsand higher lumen output for color dense transparency slides. Use of thelow setting maximizes lamp life.
