This new project is a strategic investment which has astounded the people. The new headquarters can gather-together all its employees in Shanghai and its group of brands. Because of the new headquarters' construction, the company's office facilities and its operation capacity could also be upgraded. Nike's annual revenue is over 2 million dollars for the first time in the Greater China area in June, 2011. And the regional revenue growth rate is 35%, reported in the annual fiscal report in December 20th, 2012. At the very beginning of his construction, its value and importance have show its meaning. Tishman Company and Nike Company will establish a cooperation relationship for a long-term growth strategy. Nike has signed a long-term lease agreement with U.S. Tishman company on this project. A set of buildings will cover an area of 587,227 square feet (54,575 square meters). A set of buildings include about three office building and a five layer of multi-purpose conference centers will show its appearance after the construction. Some other buildings like a football field, a standard indoor basketball court and the first-class fitness facilities will also be built accompany with the commercial office building. A full set of catering facilities and a separate conference center used for holding large scale events and product launches will be installed in the new headquarters. Nike Company plans to move into its new headquarters in the first quarter in 2014 . The building is located between Hongqiao airport and Pudong airport, the two largest airport in Shanghai. The transportation around the headquarters is quite convenient. With the main traffic hub and subway stations and 32 bus lines around the headquarters, it connects the Shanghai metropolitan area. Before the construction of the headquarters, it lies the airport facilities, which is with the Ecological Conservation Park around. All the commercial building parts are designed under the United States' Green Building Council gold standard and its design team includes the world-top architects and environmental consultants. The project started in June, 2011, named "Shangpu-the world guide" by the Tishman Real Estate Company. The first sale phase of residential area will start in October, 2012. "Shangpu-the world guide" project with an area of 9.7 million square feet is a green community equipped with a complete service facilities. After the project completed, it will include class A office park, class A commercial office building, SOHO living and working area, hotel, hotel residence, retail stores and places for cultural activities.
