Awhile ago, I got an email from one of the "gurus" I follow and it shocked me. The gist of it was this person wanted to trade services for a household item.To say it floored me would be an understatement. What was worse was a few days later t Automation technologies represent a fundamental aspect of any modern industry. The major types of industrial automation solutions, such as DCS, PLC, SCADA, and MES, are used on a large-scale in process and discrete industries.DCS technologie
Crest Amplifiers are designed for years ofreliable, flawless operation under rigorous use. These power amplifiers offerthe sonic superiority and unsurpassed reliability for which Crest Audio isfamous, while remaining surprisingly compact. Advanced technology and extensiveprotection circuitry allow operation with greater efficiency into difficultloads and power conditions. All Professional Series amplifiers are fullycompatible with Crest Audios Octal Socket Accessories and the NexSyscomputer-controlled audio system. The IGM (Instantaneous Gain Modulation)circuit of Crest Amplifiers ensures trouble free operation into loads as low as2 ohms. The clip limiting circuits protect drivers and ensure that sonicintegrity is maintained, even in extreme overload conditions. Crest Audioshigh-efficiency design uses tunnel-cooled heat sinks and variable speed DCfans. This cooling topology maintains a lower overall operating temperature, resulting in longer output transistor life. Although the Crest AudioProfessional Series amplifiers are quite simple to operate, and are housed inultra-strong steel chassis, improper use can be dangerous. Some of these Crest Amplifiers models arevery high-powered amplifiers that can put out high voltages and sizablecurrents at frequencies up to 30 kHz. Always use safe operating techniques withthese amplifiers. Professional Series power amplifiers will mount in standard19-inch racks having sufficient depth. The 10004 & 10001 amplifiers are fourrack units high; the 9001 and 8001 models are three rack-spaces high, while theremainders are two rack-space units. All two and three-rack space units of CrestAmplifiers are provided with four front panel mounting holes. The 9001, 10001,and 10004 have eight front panel mounting holes. Crest Audio recommends usingall mounting holes to secure the power amplifier in the rack; this will ensurethe safety of the equipment. Rear mounting ears are also provided on allamplifiers for additional support, which is essential in non-permanentinstallations like mobile or touring sound systems, but recommended forpermanent installations as well. Because of the cables and connectors on therear panel, a right-angle or offset screwdriver or hex key will make it easierto fasten the rear mounting ears to the rails. The Professional Series Crest Amplifiers usea forced-air cooling system to maintain a low, even operating temperature. Airis drawn into the amplifier by fan(s) on the rear panel, courses through thecooling fins of the back-to-back (tunnel-configured) channel heat sinks, and thenexhausts through the front panel slots. If either heat sink gets too hot, itssensing circuit will open the output relay, disconnecting the load from thatparticular channel. If the power transformer of Crest Amplifiers overheats, another sensing circuit opens the output relays on all channels until it coolsto a safe temperature. It is important to have an adequate air supply at theback of the amplifier and enough space around the front of the amplifier toallow the cooling air to escape. If the amp is rack mounted, do not use doorsor covers on the front of the rack; the exhaust air must flow withoutresistance. If you are using racks with closed backs ofCrest Amplifiers, use fans on the rear rack panel to pressurize the rack and ensurean ample air supply; also make sure that there is one (1) standard rack spaceopening for every three mounted power amplifiers. The Professional Series CrestAmplifiers are supplied with cooling fan air filters. The filters snap in placeover the fan housing.
