November 2009In the last few years Summit Matsu has successfully launched and continued to supply their own brand of glycol products which has enhanced their already standing product range of industrial chillers. To this day, propylene glycol and ethylene glycol still can be ordered for purchase from Summit Matsu chilling systems in a choice of large or small amounts that can be delivered as soon as overnight across Australia.Glycol is used by Summit Matsu as an antifreeze ingredient which prevents the low temperature chiller appliances from freezing. Similar properties of Propylene glycol and Ethylene glycol are that they are both colourless, almost odourless, sweet tasting organic compounds. One significant difference is that ethylene glycol is more of a toxic compound that can be dangerous if ingested and possibly result in death, whereas propylene glycol is considered non toxic although minor side effects have been noted if care isnt taken but none the less it has been deemed as safe to use in the food industry. Ethylene glycol therefore can be used in any other industry asides from food because of its toxic properties. As a result of increased customer requests for ethylene glycol and propylene glycol in smaller quantities than traditionally is supplied on the Australian market, Summit Matsu has found it to be a valuable addition to their product range. Previously suppliers would only deliver the compounds in 200L quantities however Matsu will supply amounts as small as 10 litres.Three years later, the release of the glycol products has proven to be successful in meeting the needs of customers as well as giving Summit Matsu the opportunity to fulfill their plans to service and maintain their chillers.Summit Matsu therefore can evaluate that the release of their own brand of glycol products to be a success. Not only did it meet the needs of customers, but it also assisted them in accomplishing their plans for service and maintenance on the chilling systems.More information on similar applications and case studies can be found online at http://www.matsu.com.au/.
