By using offline methods to gather prospects in addition to theInternet, your chances of success will greatly increase.  Not everyone you meet will be an avidInternet user, so it brings a strong advantage to have experience with othermarketing techniques.  Here are eighttips to develop offline strategies: Tip #1:  Create a flyer withyour contact information as well as any special offers.  Be sure to include your websiteaddress.  Next, go to apartmentclubhouses, housing developments or mobile home park offices and get theirpermission to leave your flyers in their office or place them on tenantdoors.  It’s strongly recommended thatyou offer either a discount on your product or service, or free gift to theoffice employees as well. Tip #2:  Make up special bagsthat include the following:  yourbusiness card, your flyer, a discount coupon and something to advertise yourcurrent special.  You can find manyvarieties of zip-locked bags at craft stores. Give the bags to cashiers, servers, bank tellers…etc.  Take them with you wherever you go.  It’s a quick and simple way to get the wordout about what you do.  Tip #3:  If you live in acollege town, make efforts to reach the college students.  Many dormitories have bulletin boards whereyou can post your flyer and info with permission.  College students are always looking to make extra money. Tip #4:  Make connections withyour local Chamber of Commerce.  You mayhave an opportunity to participate in local business events.  They might even have a publication that youcould be advertised in.   Tip #5:  Consider your localwedding supply stores, bridal gown stores, tux rental businesses, orcaterers.  Contact such places to see ifthey’ll allow you to leave your card with them, which customers can pick up.           Tip #6:  Contact childcare facilities.  They are also good places to leave businesscards and flyers.  Look for ways thatyour products or services can specifically benefit moms or children, andindicate such on your flyers.  Tip #7:  Take advantage of special events orfestivals in your community.  It couldbe a county fair that offers inexpensive tables or booths.  Such events are known for large crowds ofpeople, which is a great way to promote your business.   While this listis definitely not an exhaustive one, by implementing just one or two it canopen up doors to more opportunities.
