Second option is to call the State of Bureau of Investigation for non-certified statewide record checks. A requester should get their own statewide criminal record from the State Bureau of Investigation and submit a finger print card and payment of a fee. The State Bureau of Investigation is open for requester concerns, clarifications and questions regarding the record. Third way is to call the criminal record check companies for non-certified statewide record checks. The company that was present in the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts lists will do the work in searching and do record checks. The office provides a list of website companies that were accredited. Residents were given three options to get background check information on a regular basis. First option is to obtain information directly from the said agency on an ongoing basis.
