I think in the past week I've seen about nine or ten different commercials for facial cleansers. There are hundreds of cleansers out there that are definitely not all the same. Using a quality facial cleanser is a key part in keeping your skin clear and healthy because they clear the pores and clean the dirt and the acne causing bacteria. The best cleansers contain all natural ingredients that are free of preservatives, chemicals and fragrances that can cause allergic reactions. We all have different kinds of skin; Oily, dry, combination, sensitive, etc. Finding the right cleanser for you shouldn't be that hard, but for some people it is. There are all natural facial cleansers for every type of skin. When looking for a face wash, consider ones made with Shea Butter, to moisturize and protect from sun damage, Aloe Vera for its healing properties, Chamomile and Tangerine Oil to disinfect and kill any bacteria, while clearing pores and promoting maximum nutrient absorption. These extracts and oils provide some of clearest, cleanest, and safest results around. Now that I've promoted all things natural, I'd like to say some things about those chemically based facial cleansers. Many of them contain synthetic astringents and disinfectants that can be harmful to our skin resulting in redness, dryness, and itchiness. Some can even experience severe allergic reactions of the face resulting in swelling, hives, and tenderness, in which case medical attention should be immediately sought. If you want to smell nice wear some perfume, or shower...just kidding. Seriously though, facial cleansers with fragrances in them can cause just as bad an allergic reaction as any of the synthetic astringents causing redness and inflammation, among other side effects if youre blessed with sensitive skin. Whatever happened to go old soap and water? Well, first off soap is incredibly drying to the skin and can actually cause breakouts on those with sensitive skin. Soap is meant for the body, not the face. Its pH is just too high to be used on such a delicate part of our body, unless it's formulated to be used on or around our face. Those soaps made for the face are unfortunately, usually not strong enough to clear the dirt and bacteria away. Stick with a mild all natural face cleanser, better safe than sorry. Washing your face too much is actually really bad for your skin and can do way more harm than good. Using a mild all natural face cleanser once in the morning and once in the night is a sure fire way to keep you skin clear and clean. Make sure to stay away from any chemicals or synthetic fragrances that can cause allergic reactions. Check with a dermatologist or do your research to find out what's best for you.
