Dont you just love Mondays? Without a Monday we wouldnt have Fridaysand everyone I know loves Fridays. Fridays mean the work week is over andwe can start having some fun for a few days or it may mean we switch fromdoing one kind of work to another. When someone asks me Monday morning how my weekend went I usuallyhave to stop and think because I have moved on. It doesnt mean it wasntgood or bad, it was just another part of my week.Weekends can actually be very stressful with all the errands, cleaning, childrens activities to run them to, and trying to do everything on your todo list. Or they can be a happy memory that you have accomplished mostif not all of the things you planned on doing. It can be satisfying when youactually take some time for yourself. These 5 tips can help you get organizedfor a fabulous weekend.1. If you have planned on getting rid of clutter on the weekend do it slowlyso you dont get burnt out. When you estimate how long it will take to do acertain project and then it takes longer than you expected (this is the storyof my life and I have learned to double the amount of time I think it willtake) dont consider yourself a failure. Put the project back on your to-do listand plan on completing it at another time. Give yourself a pat on the backfor starting it in the first place and making progressno matter how smallyou think it was.2. As you think of all the things you need to do, include fun things youwant to do. It could be taking time to watch a movie or a sporting event onT.V. Set a schedule for yourself that rotates the fun things with the mustdos. I started doing this several years ago and I find I do the thingsI must do quicker so I can get to my fun projects.3. Multitaskwhen you are sitting at a practice or some activity of yourchilds that you dont need to be watching constantly, or at half time oron time outs take along something you want or need to do that you cando during those down times. When my children were little I knit severalsweaters during these down times. Knitting was something I enjoyed butdidnt seem to find time to do.4. Errandswhen running errands group locations together so you make the best use of your time to save time. Even better if someone else in yourhome can run errands give them a list of what you need done and sendthem to do it.Shopping online can save a lot of time. Even ordering your groceries from astore that delivers is a big time saver. My friend does this to save not onlytime but money as she doesnt deviate from her list when shes not in thestore being enticed by something she doesnt need. She said this has helpedher get rid of clutter because it never enters her kitchen as something thatlooked like she would like to try but never did and it ends up cluttering hershelves.5. Make getting rid a clutter a family activity instead of you doing it allalone. Teach and train other family members how to get rid of clutter andwhat this means to you. Show them what to do. It takes a bit more workin the beginning but the rewards are great and you see them doing it bythemselves.
