Time is Money... Literally!Perhaps you never noticed, but 'time is money' is not just a metaphor. Yes, it states that we should esteem time just like we esteem money, but the lesson doesn't end here: it also states that time is LITERALLY money. In fact, we can make (or at least save) money every Christmas out of a good use of our time.Let me explain what I'm genuinely trying to say, and let's take today (November 10th) as an example. Christmas will arrive in 44 days - it seems we have a lot of time, don't you think? Well, this is a question that I discussed in my personal blog about Christmas gifts (if you want to take a look, click Prendas de Natal) and my answer is clear: it depends on one's attitude. What I normally see is that many people only start thinking of buying the gifts in the last weeks, caused by the illusion that 44 days is a lot. What these people don't get is that this mistake cost them money every single year! The key-word here is 'planning', and I'm going to give 5 good reasons that (I hope) will help you change your methods.1- If you start making your gift list during October, you'll have time enough to think decently of what gifts you will offer. The idea should always be to offer a good gift, not just any gift; but if you only start worrying about finding your gifts in the middle of December, you'll only have two weeks... the risk of rushed decisions is something really serious here. Don't forget that a last minute purchase increases the risk of offering bad gifts, which is not such a good scenario...2- Fact: the main part of people buy their presentes in December. hence, the risk of stock ruptures is something you must be prepared for. As you can't wait for a new stock, the solution is buy somewhere else or go to another product, which can effortlessly lead you to more expensive purchases.3- An early planning also means you'll have time enough to make a proper research that will allow you to find the best prices. If you make a rushed purchase, you simply have no idea if there were another store with the exact same product, but cheaper.4- Every store increases its prices during December. And just as I said, you don't look so carefully at the price when you're in a hurry.5- Buying your gifts early contributes to a more peaceful Christmas. You avoid the overpopulated shopping centers and have more time to serenly enjoy the season.Giving you my personal example, I typically buy all my Christmas gifts during the first 2 weeks of November, and I'm always happy with the results. And just to conclude, if you want more tips about Christmas, I invite you once again to check out my blog. Thank you for passing by and merry Christmas! Article Tags: Early Planning
