The Death of Marat was a famous painting of David, which was known for Mara's special identity and concise form. Mara (1743 - 1793) was one of the core leaders of the Jacobins. After the Jacobins's administration, Marat became the chairman of the school because of his remarkable ability of handling many calls and was responsible for dealing with daily affairs. He was suffering from a serious skin disease and could only relieve the pain by soaking in the bathtub sprinkling drops every day. Then the bathroom became the frequent place where he stayed. On July 11, 1793, a dissident lady entered Marat's bathroom with an excuse to discuss matters and murdered him in the case of unsuspecting, making the revolutionary leader died in his position. 19th -century French painter David's painting The Death of Marat is another typical portrait. Jean-Paul Marat (1743 -1793) was one of the Jacobins leaders in the French Revolution. For revolutionary work, he often hided in the cellar and got infected eczema. Therefore he had to spend several hours lying in the tub, and received treatment while handling official affairs or writing. The right wing royalist molecular Charlotte Corday sneaked on his bathroom with an excuse to apply for relief and murdered Marat there. This painting showed the scene that Marat was assassinated in the bathtub, dagger being thrown on the ground and blood flowing from Marat's chest. His left hand was still holding the note, with his anger and pain expression on his face. The horizontal line in the composition could be only broken through by the ruthlessly loopy right, seeming to have lost any hope of saving. The upper half was empty and deep. The light ray shooting from the left lighted the Marats body and face with a monument like stereo feeling. The painting neither had a wide variety of colors, nor complex method to shorten, with his brush to arouse peoples simple feelings and true sense of justice.
