A series of outdoor installations and performances with the theme of "shelter" will open with a reception and performances, 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, in the Stranahan Arboretum, 4131 Tantara Rd. Temporary works made for specific sites in this outdoor show examine the ways in which "shelter" can be interpreted. It's a project of 11 University of Toledo students. The show continues through Oct. 14.When Hollywood Had Glamour will be discussed by Karen Sinsheimer of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art at 3 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Little Theater of the Toledo Museum of Art.
